People like to talk to me cos I tell them what they don't want to hear.
I very much value and recognise the fact that in any youth or uni ministry, we more or less do not have an adult figure around to lead or watch over. And by adult, I mean at least 30yo.
Because I am in a situation where I do not have any adults around me almost 100% of the time, I shall talk about thus then. I only have my experiences to share right?
Since young, our family/parents are the ones that scold us, nag at us and tell us to change what is wrong with us to right. See that I/we do not have our parents anywhere near us?
Your friends are not going to tell you what wrong with you. They want you to like them.
And even the most honest of friends won't or cannot tell you some of the "problems" that needs changing. Problems, I find, need to be pointed out.
The youth of our generation are very smart. I certainly have to agree. We are provided with the best. We are educated and refined. Problem? We think we know. Guess what. No, you don't know.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for me, I'll be gallivanting by the hotel pool for the next few days.

I'm really annoyed with my mp3 atm.
I know it's like super cool with the wireless nonsense.
And I can go jogging with it and that I can jump ard the house with my arms going all over the place and go to the toilet with it
But
IT'S SO ANNOYING
It's basically like an ishuffle. There's no stupid screen and if I want to play an album, I have to skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip
And I'm the kind of person that plays by album and I like to play it over and over and over.
And the album depends on what's my mood or what I'm doing.
So, for the past few weeks, I have been enduring with Corrine may when I want to study, the ting tings when I want to worship, planet shakers when I want to relax
Urgh.

Psalm 40:1-3
"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, about of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord" (NIV).

Okay, so let's say I have been playing with silly facebook games like real estate tycoon and restaurant city. Let's say!
I kinda realised that people that have the highest scores/level or most amount of money spend a lot of time and effort on these games.
And after a while, it gets really mindless. Like seriously. This is like a fantasy world. It's not real money, not real levels... You are not deemed more respectful or more influential just because you are of level 56 {cough cough} or the money you earn is real money (I wish)
So then, God convicted me. Yes that I was supposed to be studying :\
But he kinda convicted me of something else too:
Felisha, why are you chasing after mindless things of the world?
Why do you care so much if you merely pass your studies?
Why do I cry so much over that stupid pass? Does it matter?
What is your aim of wanting to be a millionaire?
The grades promise so much pleasure and security, but when I devote myself to the pursuit of affluence, I find that it does not satisfy and ultimately leads to ruin and grief.
And you're like yeah yeah...I heard that before
But then, guess what, I/you stupidly go back to play those silly/mindless games. Humans are stupid, I tell you.
God created us to love Him, but why on earth do we give our hearts to lesser desires? The love of money not only robs God of His rightful place in our affections, but also steals contentment, opens the door to temptations, and can cause us to wander away.
I guess these games give a very realistic comparison between God's real estate tycoon and the world's. There are 2 very different worlds.
And, sometimes, you just have to have enough and be satisfied. With the money you earned from the profit of selling that house. The graph line will just keep jumping higher and going lower. The money for you to earn never runs out, the level just keeps getting higher and more brainless.
ah yes, moral of story: Don't be stupid.

I obviously can't come out with so nice rubbish
