The Reaon why my Home Page is Yahoo Spore

i found out about the earth quake in china a few days ago.
i found out because it was on the featured section of yahoo spore.
but it was only until today that i actually got around to reading the article.

and honestly,
i didn't know it was so bad.
Beads of moisture flowed past my cheeks as the pictures,
appeared one by one on my computer screen.

i felt so unaware.
i have no idea what's going on outside.

i remember scrambling to find news in the channel news asia website and straits times
when i wanted to find out about some stuff

it was a complete failure.
newasia was at least able to provide 2-3 paragraphs of what i wanted to find out.
obviously, i didn't find out much
straits times... forget it.
straits times provide today's news foc
but if you want to read yesterday's news? $$$

i mean i would understand why they have to charge.
keeping the website alone requires finances.
it's just that, i find that i have no idea what's going on in that world.

Aust news sucks. period.
somehow, in my opinion,
they're not really interested in Asian countries.
or rather. fail to.

I'm happy for aust,
because she is so blessed to have reached such an prosperous state.
but open your eyes to the Asian world too, will you?

there is so much more out there!

cries of woe are heard daily about workers not receiving enough pay, not good enough working conditions, demanding more grants, more this more that.
open your eyes people.
you're too comfortable.
you're so blessed. appreciate it.

meanwhile, if i want to find out about what's happening,
I'll just have to make the effort to continue searching the wide yet limited web.

I'm not sure if aust even displayed news abt china's earthquake.
it doesn't help that i don't have a tv over here.
but I'm very sure, not much importance was placed on it
the complaining people probably had more display time than the earthquake.

i hope i don't get sued for this
